Hudson Valley Senior Photographer | Megan's Country Summer Session
As a senior photographer in the Columbia & Dutchess County area of the Hudson Valley, I get to capture high school students in beautiful settings all year round. Of course spring and fall are popular seasons for photo shoots, and winter can be challenging but fun. Summer evenings are so rewarding, though, with the lush greens, the colorful flowers, and the golden light of sunset.
All of this culminated in a perfect evening for Megan's senior portrait session a couple weeks ago. She is a member of the FFA club at Stissing Mountain High School and, fittingly, loves a beautiful country setting. I think we totally nailed the location because we were able to incorporate rustic barns and fences as well as the natural beauty of the fields, flowers, and even a stream.
And then there's Megan. Last night after her Reveal & Order Session her dad walked me to my car and said, "She's got a heart of gold--she takes after her mother." Say it with me--awww! Megan was worried she wouldn't know how to smile after years of braces and said she isn't used to wearing so much makeup. Neither of those things mattered or showed in the end. Her sweet personality, cute smile, and gorgeous eyes made each image I captured a keeper. Narrowing them down was HARD!!

Megan, I'm so glad I got to meet you and your parents (and grandma, too!) And thank you so much for trusting me and being yourself--it resulted in such a gorgeous session. I'm excited to see how your prints and wooden image box come out. And I'm REALLY excited to see how that last image up there looks on your metal wall art. I might have to order an extra to use as a sample product!!
